Adan Ballou, a resident of the Canadian Prairies, found his creative calling alongside his wife as they embarked on a journey to establish a lifestyle brand. Inspired by their surroundings, they sought to create art that transcends mere aesthetics, aiming to inspire others to become better humans. Through their partnership, they cultivated a vision of ethical fashion, blending sustainability with style.
Rooted in nature and guided by a commitment to mindful living, Adan Ballou encourages wearers to embrace their superhuman potential and foster a community of care and compassion.
Founder & Designer, Adan Ballou
Started his journey as an IT Geek craving more creativity in his life. Influenced by his family's artistic background, he ventured into leather crafting and motorcycle seat design.
Seeking solace away from the distractions of the city, he found himself on an acreage in the heart of Canada, where he challenged himself to learn, grow, and redefine luxury.
Abury Design Winner
Driven by his vision for an ethical and socially responsible fashion brand, Adan developed sustainable practices in leather production, earning him international recognition and prestigious awards for his handbag designs.
In 2016, he won the Abury Design Experience contest in Berlin, which led him to Marrakesh, Morocco. Immersed in the rich Islamic culture and collaborating with local artists, Adan created the acclaimed 'Windows & Doorways' collection for the ABURY Collection.
IHDA Winner
Our commitment to sustainability and responsible craftsmanship is at the core of our brand. Adan's mini tote bag was recognized as a finalist for the 'Most Sustainable' handbag category at the Independent Handbag Designer Awards in New York.
In 2019, he triumphed once again, winning 'The Best Handmade Handbag' award for his 'Winter Clutch' design, which showcased Manitoba Deerskin leather tanned using traditional Indigenous techniques.
